We’re looking for a

Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst


Based in Dublin and reporting to the Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this business-facing finance role will work on a diverse range of planning and analytical initiatives to assist with decision making. This role is ideally suited to someone who relishes change, embraces a high-performance culture, has a continuous improvement mindset and has previously held an analytical role.


What you will do


  • Help drive the ongoing strategic and detailed planning cycles across Hamilton
  • Continuous incremental forecasting based on business drivers and trends
  • Ongoing review of the Hamilton financial results versus expectations; isolating key trends and analyzing variances
  • Complete quarterly commentary and presentations for senior management
  • Be a business partner to key underwriting and finance leaders in the organisation
  • Assist with the production and creation of global management information reports on an ongoing basis
  • Provide ad hoc project support as required; modelling to support strategic initiatives, create bespoke slide decks for management meetings and report composition and presentation
  • Engage in continuous improvement of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function to enhance the information and insight available to the organisation through the use of IBM Planning Analytics.


What you require for the role


  • Three years’ relevant experience in a similar FP&A role or a background demonstrating a strong analytical propensity
  • A professional accounting qualification is desirable
  • Insurance company experience is preferable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in an organisation with geographically dispersed teams
  • High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise and work to a deadline
  • A team player with a commitment to collaborate within the wider FP&A team
  • Business travel is likely to be required, subject to any ongoing travel restrictions
